- Phone Numbers: Mobile phone numbers you register to receive forwarded emails as SMS messages.
- Email Content: Inbound emails sent to your mail2txt.io address are processed and forwarded as SMS. We retain email metadata (sender, subject, timestamp) for delivery logging. Email body content is processed transiently and not stored after SMS delivery.
- Usage Data: Delivery logs, timestamps, and service metrics to maintain and improve the Service.
- Payment Information: Billing details are processed by Stripe and not stored on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To forward emails to your registered phone numbers via SMS.
- To send verification codes when you register a phone number.
- To manage your account and process payments.
- To monitor service health, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. SMS Messaging
When you add a phone number to your account, you consent to receive SMS messages including:
- A one-time verification code to confirm phone number ownership.
- Forwarded email content from emails sent to your unique mail2txt.io address.
Message frequency varies based on the volume of emails you receive. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or by removing the phone route from your dashboard.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service:
- SMS Providers: Telnyx and Twilio to deliver text messages.
- Hosting: Cloudflare and Vercel for application infrastructure.
- Database: Supabase for data storage.
- Payments: Stripe for billing.
- Monitoring: Axiom for operational logging.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database, and secure secret management. Phone number verification prevents unauthorized SMS delivery.
7. Data Retention
Delivery logs are retained for 90 days. Account data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting support.
8. Your Rights
You may:
- Access and update your account information via the dashboard.
- Delete phone routes at any time.
- Opt out of SMS by replying STOP or removing routes.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
